The short version

• This website collects only what's needed to run the beta waitlist.
• We don't collect health or fitness data on this website.
• We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
• Analytics are cookieless and aggregate.

What this notice covers

This notice covers getformance.com and its beta waitlist. It does not cover the Formance app. The app will process health and fitness data you choose to connect, and it will have its own privacy policy, which you'll be able to read before connecting any data. Waitlist information is kept separately from the Formance app.

What we collect when you join the waitlist

• Your email address.
• How you'll use Formance (athlete, coach or trainer, or other) and, for coaches, the type of coaching.
• How you heard about Formance, if you choose to tell us.
• Referral and campaign information from the link you arrived on, such as a referral code (?ref=) or UTM parameters, the page you landed on, and the domain of the website that sent you.
• When you signed up and which version of this notice was shown.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, location or any health information.

How we use it

• To invite you to the beta and send updates about it.
• To reach out to coaches and trainers about the coach beta, if you chose that path.
• To understand, in aggregate, which channels bring people to Formance — for example, how many signups came from a particular trainer's link.

Referral links

If you arrive through a referral or campaign link, the code is remembered in your browser's local storage for up to 30 days, so a later signup is still credited. It stays on your device unless you join the waitlist. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics to count visits and key actions, such as clicks on "Join the beta" and completed signups. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and never receives your email address.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run this site: website hosting, a database for the waitlist, and analytics. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their service. [to confirm: final provider list and data locations]

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until the beta and launch communications it was collected for are finished, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. [to confirm: specific retention period]

Your choices

Security

Waitlist information is sent over encrypted connections and stored in a database that can't be reached directly from the public website. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

Children
